The Freesia Group’s Annual General Meeting 2025 (AGM) was held at the Restaurante Amaranto, Salou on Thursday the 6th March 2024 at 1:30pm local time.
Information and discussion about the Freesia Group’s previous years (2024) fundraising activities and events was discussed to all those members present at the meeting by the groups elected president.
The annual financial report of the Freesia Group Contra el Cancer fund raising activities as well as the costs incurred during the previous financial year of 2024 was also presented, discussed and circulated. The annual financial statement was accepted and approved by those members present at the annual general meeting 2025.

In accordance with the current rules, election of Freesia’s current committee members who are prepared to offer themselves up for re-election to the Freesia committee was presented and voted on as follows:

Freesia Group’s Annual General Meeting 2025 discussed the issues that have been in the press involving one of our supported charities CNIO (National Cancer Research Centre) and the president confirmed that the Freesia Group had been advised that none of the money donated by the group has been used to purchase “Artworks”. As such the members present agreed that they were happy to continue donating to the CNIO.
It was declared at the meeting that a total of 18,638.28 euros was raised during 2024 by the groups fundraising activities events with a total of 19,674.00 euros being donated by the Freesia Group during that year. An amount of: 6,558.00 euros to each of the three cancer associations we support.
Members were also asked to vote either "Yes" or "No" on five items affecting the Annual Christmas Fair regarding the Tombola stall and three other Christmas Fair stalls that we can no longer support.
Other topics discussed included Freesia Group’s annual sponsored walk, our online social media presence and agreed with members that prior to each lunch the upcoming agenda will be emailed to all members.
With no further business to discuss, the newly elected Freesia Group President thanked all those present for their help and continued support during the previous year. Thanks was also given to the Restaurante Amaranto for allowing the meeting to take place at their premises.
With no other questions or objections raised by those members present, the Freesia Group Annual General Meeting 2025 was brought to a close.
